if i were to have my own edition of Spirale Magazine this would be it. Spirale Magazine was a publication active between the years 1953 - 1964 and edited by Marcel Wyss, Dieter Roth, and Eugen Gromringer. the publication showcased new art of it’s time, and allowed each artist to explore the spiral in the way most intersting to them.
I played around with ideas such as spinning, and swirling with a piece of string. The string becoming my pencil on my scanner - its paper, to create dimension on the Z-aixis. these pictures were then fed through the hand via ink and tracing paper.
